Visas: To enter Mexico as tourists, citizens of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and most Western European countries do not require visas, but will however need a Mexican government tourist card (tarjeta de turista), available from embassies or at border crossings.

Good buys: Hammocks (they were introduced in Mexico), sombreros and tequila.

Local dishes: Mexican food is usually spicy and always includes the three following ingredients: salt, chilli and lime. And you are never very far away from a cantina where you will find tortillas, enchilladas and tacos. Most cantinas boast a juice bar, serving delicious fresh juices.

Interesting fact: The capital of Mexico City is most populated city in the world, with 20 million inhabitants. It is also the city with the world?s largest taxi fleet (60,000 cars).
