Public holidays: New Year's Day (Jan 1); Easter Holidays (Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Easter Monday); Queen's Birthday (Second Monday in April); Discovery Day (May 18) Constitution Day (July 6); Remembrance Day (Nov 9); Christmas Day (Dec 25); Boxing Day (Dec 26).

Good reading: The Adventure Guide to the Cayman Islands, by Paris Permenter and John Bigley, focuses on activities in and out of the water. The '32 Storm is a moving collection of recollections of the hurricane that killed 67 people and flattened almost every building on Cayman Brac and Little Cayman in 1932. Beyond the Postcards is available in souvenir shops on the islands. It's a funny little book that promises to tell you 'how it go' in the Cayman Islands.
