In the June issue of Condé Nast Traveller it was stated that the Crazy Bear Beaconsfield hotel had opened. Unfortunately the opening, originally scheduled for May, has been delayed. We do not have a definitive update on the new opening date.

STAY AT THE STEENBERG FOR WHALES AND WINE

Steenberg Hotel in the Constantia Valley just outside Cape Town has created an amazing deal for autumn - a whales and wine package - that lets guests at the luxurious hotel explore the Hermanus whale-watching site and tour Constantia's winelands, including Steenberg's own wine estate and farm. The package is available from 1 September-31 October this year, and costs R10,700 (approximately £709) for three nights.
