Osborne House reopened recently after nine years' restoration with six sea-facing suites on three floors, all with real fires, marble bathrooms and views of the North Promenade. Victoria and Elizabeth have four-poster beds and bay windows; Hélène and Katie suites have antique, king-size beds (but lack the bays); and attic suites Jessica and Elyse are romantic and cosy, with sloping, beamed roofs.
