No one does sensuality like the Turks, and the Hillside Su, on the outskirts of the ancient city of Antalya overlooking the Mediterranean, is its modern-day temple. The
sister hotel of the Hillside Beach Club in Fethiye, it combines the style of London's Sanderson hotel with the scale of the Forte Village in Sardinia, and outclasses both. White from top to bottom, the interior is stunningly lit with multicoloured fibre-optics, lasers and mood lighting. Six giant mirror-balls and rows of white daybeds in the atrium leave you in no doubt as to the ambition of the design.
Rooms are white; staff pad around with mobile phones, which means the service is briskly efficient; and the 24-hour room service is excellent value. There is an incredibly well-stocked 'maxi-bar', and state-of-the-art technology allows you to view the vast, teak-decked pool from your bed via the television. A world-class spa includes six massage rooms and a hammam, which can be booked for private use. You can swim with dolphins, watch films on a giant, drive-in-style screen from rows of daybeds, or visit the eclectic bars and restaurants. If you want to venture out, staff will arrange tailor-made visits to the ancient ruins at Perge or the mountain-top city
of Termessos; and the archaeological museum near the hotel is one of
the finest in Turkey.
