THE FACTS ABOUT SEEFELD
Austria

THE RESORT
Seefeld is a stylish Tyrolean town with frescoed medieval architecture, a casino, an extensive health centre and a pedestrianised high street. Innsbruck is only 40 minutes away by train - the service runs hourly until 10pm

THE SKIING
The main winter activity is cross-country skiing, but Seefeld also has three small Alpine ski areas that are adequate for uncommitted piste-bashers

THE NON-SKIING
Innsbruck is a beautiful medieval city built by emperor Maximilian I. The Golden Roof, one of its major landmarks, was his treasury and is now a museum; Schloss Ambras is a 16th-century castle. When it is in use, the Olympic ski jump is a sight that should not be missed

THE KNOWLEDGE
