INVERLOCHY CASTLE

FORT WILLIAM, SCOTLAND
PHOTO GALLERY
Inverlochy, an idyllic Scottish country-house hotel built in 1863, is wonderfully peaceful. Of it, Queen Victoria, who visited in 1873, said: "I never saw a lovelier or more romantic spot." Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain, towers in front of the hotel, affording spectacular views. Inverlochy provides the sort of service that hotel connoisseurs expect. There are 16 plush rooms and one suite. For more information, visit our guide to the Scottish Highlands.

FACILITIES
Fishing is the big sport here and there are all the usual hunting activities nearby, as well as a tennis court on site.
