DUNS CASTLE

BERWICKSHIRE, SCOTLAND
PHOTO GALLERY
Duns was built as a tower house in the 14th century for the Earl of Moray and later sold to William Hay of Drummelizier whose family has lived here ever since. It is steeped in bloodthirsty history: a General Leslie was quartered here for fighting against Charles I in 1639. It has just 13 rooms and is set in 1,700 acres of landscaped gardens with a nature reserve, lake, woods and hills filled with deer and pheasants.
