An atmospheric retreat in a beautifully restored masseria (fortified farmhouse) 50km from Bari and Brindisi and just minutes from the sea. It has everything on site, including a lake-style swimming pool, an Aveda spa and a magical kitchen garden that provides most of the hotel's fruit and vegetables. The décor is sumptuous-boho, with linen and silk upholstery, Balinese loungers and one-off commissions from local artists. There are 33 rooms and suites. The most romantic room is in a cave and has its own walled olive grove, where dinner for two is served beside a pool. If things get serious, the masseria also has a little baroque chapel for weddings.
