As befits a hotel in the theatre district, The Muse draws inspiration from the arts. Nine Greek muses cavort overhead in the lobby's ceiling mural. Many guests are theatregoers, drawn by the proximity of Broadway and the hotel's regular theatre packages. Others are business travellers who rate comfort with cool. The bedrooms are big and feature super-soft feather beds. There's no need to waste time checking in, guests are electronically pre-registered, so just swipe your credit card and head upstairs. There's a refreshing calmness to the hotel, especially considering its proximity to Times Square. The hotel is worth a visit for its restaurant alone. The dining room resembles a stage set, divided by huge arches with ropes dangling behind the banquettes and colourful cuisine (lavender cured rabbit with spring vegetable barley for example).
