| THE FACTS ABOUT TWENTYFOUR | |
| England London | |
| What was a brasserie in what was the NatWest Tower, in the heart of the city, is now restaurant and bar Twentyfour, 342ft up on the eponymous floor of Tower 42. Both entering and eating here is something of a corporate experience, but the views towards the east, encompassing the grey mushroom of the Dome, draws your eyes away from the men in suits. Traditional English food has always been a staple of the Square Mile but here at Tower 42 it has been elevated (literally) to new heights as celeb chef Gary Rhodes makes a triumphant reappearance in the City, serving classics from braised oxtail cottage pie, fresh haddock with steamed potato and cockle and leek casserole to jam roly poly with fresh custard and jam sauce.
