The gardens of Kensington Palace are at your feet 10 floors below and Hyde Park lies beyond. It is a view to savour more fully at lunchtime, when the grass is greener and the lighting of the restaurant is not reflected back from the windows. In an effort to present itself as an entity from the Royal Garden Hotel (the carpet alone would tell you that it isn't), the Tenth's menu is aggressively modish but the cooking is often of a surprisingly high quality. Live music is not always a delight, so be consoled that one Saturday night a month is 'Manhattan Night' and features a jazz band.
