| THE FACTS ABOUT BROWNS HOTEL'S SPA | |
| England London | |
| Rocco Forte's eagerly awaited London flagship opened in December 2005 and the Terence Donovan Bar (duck-egg blue, Donovan prints, jazz guitarist) is already a nightlife hot spot - thanks in part to its Mayfair location - and buzzes away with 20- and 30-somethings. The spa, housed in the basement, is small, so book well in advance. There are a handful of treatment rooms, including a room with two beds for side-by-side treatments, and a comprehensive treatment menu, making it perfect for spa first-timers. Choose from massages, body treatments and facials by well-respected brands including Carita, Aromatherapy Associates, Dr Sebagh and most recently, Spanish-based Natura Bisse, plus manicures and pedicures. The spa's signature treatment, the Natura Bisse Diamond Facial, is a pampering over-haul, which lasts for a blissful hour and a half. It incorporates a hand and scalp massage, thorough cleansing and moisturising, and a mild, tingly glycolic peel that makes the skin feel like a newborn baby's. Afterwards, you are guaranteed to be so relaxed you will float out of the hotel. The Diamond Facial costs £160. 33 Albemarle Street, London, W1 (020 7493 6020; www.roccofortehotels.com).
