Built more than two centuries ago by the Maharajah of Kishangarh, this palace stands beside the town lake with a panoramic view of 400 temples, dunes and the Aravalli hills. It's the place to stay during the annual Pushkar Fair, and very popular with camel-safari seekers. Not all rooms are pricey, so you can chill out like Pushkar's hippies - only in comfort.
