THE FACTS ABOUT JAI MAHAL PALACE
India

A riot of high domes and cupolas with intricate Rajasthani latticework, Jai Mahal is a well-managed five-star hotel with comfortable if unremarkable rooms. It was taken over by the Taj Hotel Group in the early 1980s and the centrepiece is an ambitious Mughal garden recreated in the grounds. There's even a solar-heated pool and a beauty parlour.
