Vinita is in a prime position overlooking the bay of Kassiopi on the fashionable north-east coast. Its typically Corfiot exterior (ochre walls and sage-green shutters) conceals an elegant country house decorated in a contemporary European style. The rooms are high-ceilinged and generously proportioned and the furnishings are comfortable and classy. Pale-tiled floors and cream walls are warmed up with Oriental rugs and landscapes by contemporary Greek artists. The oak-and-marble kitchen and beige-and-cream living room with its marble fireplace radiate relaxed elegance. All along the ground floor, French doors open on to the pool terrace,
with its bamboo-shaded pergola and rattan sofas. All bedrooms are en-suite and
air-conditioned (the first-floor master bedroom has a raised bath with spectacular sea views; one bedroom on the lower ground floor has direct access to pretty landscaped terraces and a built-in barbeque). The beach is a two-minute walk away.
