They got the name right: The Hidden Cottage is certainly off the beaten track. Located at Micro Ammos, 5km from Patitiri, this small, stone building stands just above an isolated beach. It could have been built with the New Austerity in mind: ditch the hair dryer, the shaver, the fax machine, the computer; strip back to basics and enjoy Greece the way it should be: solar-powered. Inside, the cottage has white walls, stone floors, heavy-beamed ceilings and colourful soft furnishings. It is a five-minute amble downhill to a small, private cove (and there are no near neighbours).
