Historically one of the most important grand manor houses in France, this imperious collection of buildings in a 100-acre wildlife sanctuary has been stunningly restored by its English hotelier owners in an haute bourgeois style lightened with modern touches. The house is a triptych: the main building contains seven sumptuous bedrooms and the elegant Grand Salon; the Garden Wing and La Garde have two bedrooms each. It can be rented in its entirety or in separate lots and can be staffed on request. The wildlife sanctuary has a lake, orchard and disused chapel and there is a swimming pool in the gardens. It is a 10-minute drive to St Tugen beach and 37km from Quimper.
