Villa developments can obliterate the privacy aspect of renting a house, but these six properties are scattered across a hillside, expertly shielded by dense vegetation; and each has its own swimming pool. Created in the vernacular style by a pair of local brothers, the villas each have two bedrooms, although they are infinitely better suited for couples - and preferably those who will appreciate robust walks in the adjoining rugged Ardales National Park. The villas have perfectly decent open-plan kitchens, but there are plans to open an on-site restaurant, serving home-cooked meals, and a bar.
