This lovely Tunisian island is perfect for sun seeking spring travellers. With a pleasant climate, historic monuments to discover, and a friendly local population, it's becoming an increasingly popular destination. El Riadh, the historic village, has winding cobbled streets and is everything you picture North Africa being. Dar Dhiafa, a 10-minute ride from the island's capital city Houmt Souk, is a lovely hotel made up of four 600-year-old houses with connecting courtyards and Berber interiors, and the village it's located in, Erridah, is very picturesque. Djerba is an excellent destination if you want to relax, visit markets or watch the local fishermen at work.
