Cerulean is a fully-staffed Moroccan-style villa on a narrow stretch of white-coral sand on the north-east of the tiny island of Anguilla. There are seven air-conditioned, en-suite bedrooms, all with their own entrances and terraces, and a couple with outdoor gardens. Despite a scattering of other new properties nearby, it retains a sense of privacy and has a tennis court, gym and marble 'meditation court' in the grounds. Levels of service here rival a five-star hotel, so expect unashamed pampering by a long line-up of staff (chef, house manager, hostess, housekeeper, two maids, two butlers and a night-time security guard) who will provide fresh towels by the pool, turned-down beds in the evening and dinners of locally caught grilled lobster-tails and crayfish. There are babysitters and supervised activities as well as plenty of play space for children. Go in May or June when it's not too hot and the water is calm.
