The French owners of this stylish villa have furnished it with hand-picked items from
their travels around the world. From its hilltop position there are panoramic views
of the Bay of Ajaccio, particularly from the huge, infinity-edged swimming pool and
sun terrace, surrounded by a palm-shaded garden with manicured lawns. The sprawling, open-plan ground floor is predominantly white, with an eclectic mix of modern and antique furniture: an Italian-designed kitchen, a long, monastic dining table, leather sofas and Guatemalan rugs. Ethnicity prevails in the colonial master bedroom, with its lovely carved Indian four-poster and Moroccan-inspired bathroom. There are another three twin-bedded rooms, two in the attic with views of the countryside. The villa is a 10-minute drive from the beaches at Ajaccio and not far from the Liamone and Prunelli gorges, a walkers' paradise.
