Vigna Sulana is a new, three-storey villa on a quiet residential road in the village of Patrimonio, from which there are lovely poolside vistas of
the surrounding vineyards and wild scrubland. Simply decorated in cheerful Mediterranean colours, the villa has an airy, ground-floor living
room (terracotta-tile floors, large, squishy sofas, fireplace and satellite TV) and two bedrooms at the end of the hall. The air-conditioned master suite and bathroom take up the entire first floor. There's a large outdoor kitchen (with a fridge
and barbecue) by the swimming pool and a pretty patio in Corsican stone. A children's playroom is shared with the friendly owners who live downstairs. Several good, country-style restaurants are within walking distance; a cleaner and cook are available on request; and it's only 10 minutes' drive to the lively harbour of Saint-Florent or the beaches at rugged Cap Corse.
