This charming stone finca is on two hectares of grounds with nothing on either side and only one or two distant neighbours. It is a tranquil spot, with little but the rustle of bamboo in the garden to break the silence. The house is full of character, with weathered wooden beams and shutters, vine-shaded terraces and a kidney-shaped pool. There are two bedrooms upstairs, a basic bedroom and shower off the kitchen and two others in an annexe with its own terrace. The furnishings are unpretentious and tasteful. This is a welcoming home with interesting books and art collected bthe owner, who maintains the property beautifully (new heating and air conditioning have recently been installed). The nearest beach, at Portocristo, is reached by back roads through olive groves; the nearby city of Manacor is ugly but useful, and there are villages for basic shopping.
