| THE FACTS ABOUT CASA BINISALEM | |
| Spain Mallorca | |
| Casa Binisalem is a handsome finca with green shutters and rambling bougainvillaea in peaceful surroundings outside Binisalem, Mallorca's wine-making capital. It has been elegantly restored and decorated and the gardens are particularly pretty, with formal fountains and statuary and a lovely swimming pool surrounded by mature trees, palms and flower-filled terracotta urns. At the end of a long lane lined with oleanda, hidden from view, is a floodlit tennis court. There are two living rooms (one on either side of a courtyard), a spacious, bright kitchen, a big dining room and five bedrooms (one in a private apartment). Most downstairs rooms open onto a courtyard or garden - there are plenty of shady spots to hide with a book - and the house is well-equipped with cots and high chairs for babies and furnished terraces for grown-ups.
