A cosy, all-inclusive guest ranch (a member of Relais & Châteaux) in a picture-perfect valley setting, where accommodation is either in private cabins with terrace and hot tub or in lodge rooms. The 'Horse programme' includes 'horse sense' classes, stockmanship and trail rides. The ranch is great for children: a programme of activities (including after dinner) means there's time for adults to relax.
Cost: All-inclusive, seven-night stays in a lodge room cost from $10,500 for two (a small cabin for four costs the same price). You are advised to book at least three to four months in advance - more if you are planning to take you family during a school holiday.
