your favourite hotels according to geographical location. In the MIDDLE EAST, AFRICA & THE INDIAN OCEAN ISLANDS there is nowhere you would rather be than One&Only Maldives at Reethi Rah. So impressed were you with this Indian Ocean resort that it received scores above 90 for all nine criteria, sending it to the top of our 'best of the best' Top 100. You were particularly impressed with its ambience/ decor (97.91) and leisure facilities (96.72), but chose to single out the Cape Grace in South Africa for service/staff
(98.57), North Island in Seychelles for environmental friendliness (98.84) and Ngorongoro Crater Lodge in Tanzania for its lofty location (97.67).

As for ASIA & THE INDIAN SUBCONTINENT, those of you who visited the Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai in Thailand were much taken with the attentive service/staff (97.96) and food/restaurants (97.24), but the nearby Mandarin Oriental Chiang Mai won hands down for ambience/decor (98.79) and The Datai in Malaysia for standard/comfort of accommodation (98.87). Phuket's Amanpuri was judged best for location (98.08) and The Chedi Phuket offered the best value for money (92.94). |

Elsewhere, classic-contemporary country hotel The Grove got your vote for ambience/decor (96.47), Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park for location (96.19), and you tipped the stylish Soho Hotel a top-ranking 83.33 for value for money.
