WHY GO

Gothenburg is perhaps the grandest and most varied of all Swedish cities and Scandinavia's largest seaport. Its easy-going nature and close proximity to Western Europe make it an extremely attractive place to live for many Swedes, ahead of the capital, Stockholm. Furthermore, thanks in part to its student population, the town has a vibrancy all its own and makes an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful coastline, dotted with secluded little islands.
