A lavishly imagined Arabian fantasy, modelled on a giant palace, with 394 bedrooms decorated in acres of gold-thread. Managed by Kempinski, this is perhaps the glitziest hotel in the Arab world to date: set in one million square metres of parkland, it has 114 glass domes and over 1,000 chandeliers.
